Your data stays in your browser

All formatting, validation, and conversion on DevFormatter runs entirely in your browser using JavaScript. Any text you paste into a tool is never sent to our servers — we have no servers that process your input. Your data does not leave your machine.

Analytics

We use Google Analytics 4 to understand how visitors use the site — which tools are popular, what browsers are used, and which countries visitors come from. This helps us improve the tools.

Google Analytics collects:

• Pages visited and time spent
• Browser type and operating system
• Approximate location (country/city level — not precise)
• Referral source (e.g. search engine, direct)

Google Analytics does not collect the content you paste into the tools. No personally identifiable information is collected.

Google's data collection is governed by the Google Privacy Policy.

Opting out of analytics

You can opt out of Google Analytics tracking by:

• Installing the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on
• Enabling "Do Not Track" in your browser settings
• Using a browser extension that blocks tracking scripts (e.g. uBlock Origin)

Cookies

Google Analytics sets cookies to distinguish users and sessions. We do not set any first-party cookies ourselves. We do not use cookies for advertising or tracking across other sites.

Third-party sharing

We do not sell, rent, or share your data with any third parties beyond Google Analytics as described above.
